The Nobelclean “Diamonding” system grew out of many years of experience with a wide range of polishing systems. Since 1999.
1.1 What are the advantages of the Nobelclean Diamonding polishing system?
Work on cars and motorhomes is done without dirt and noise; you could even polish the vehicle in your living room.
On aircraft, the Diamonding polishing system needs no downtime of its own, because you can work on the aircraft during maintenance.
On yachts, you can work with the Diamonding system directly on the boat while it is in the water. It makes no noise and no dirt flies around, so no polishing compound can get into the water.
It doesn't disturb captains or crew, because it is quiet and more environmentally friendly than any other system.
The result after Diamonding/polishing is always more than 90% deep gloss across the entire boat or aircraft. It looks as good as new.
1.2 What sets the Nobelclean Diamonding system apart from other polishing methods?
The difference is simple, yet significant: the Diamonding system is a pure paint correction system that can't be compared, or only to a limited extent, with conventional polishing machines. Instead of lambswool or foam pads, Nobelcleaners work with so-called Nobel Units made of cotton or microfiber. These are pulled over so-called “plates” and turned or swapped as needed.
The goal was to eliminate the disadvantages of all common polishing systems:
- they are difficult to learn
- the result depends on who is working with the system
- they are not environmentally friendly
- they create dirt and noise
That is why polishing work usually takes place out of sight, where it doesn't disturb anyone (noise) and where dirt doesn't matter much. On larger surfaces (yachts and aircraft), there is the added problem that conventional polishing systems (foam, lambswool) are not allowed at all!
The Nobelclean Diamonding polishing system has none of these problems.
What is the secret of the Nobelorbit polishing machine?
The Nobelorbit polishing machine accounts for the largest share of the success. The Nobel Orbit weighs 5.5 kilograms, has 2 ergonomically shaped handles, is made of cast aluminum and has a large 28 cm backing plate. Standard polishing machines usually have backing plates 12–15 cm in diameter.
Various materials are used with the Nobelorbit: microfiber bonnets, cotton bonnets or non-woven polishing cloths. These are combined as needed and create the unique finish of Nobelclean Diamonding polishing technology. Standard polishing machines use foam pads and lambswool.
The Nobelorbit works eccentrically and turns at 2,350–2,450 rpm, depending on the version. It can only be switched on and off. A standard polishing machine has adjustable speed. This often leads to wrong speeds and so on, and it is loud.
The Nobelorbit is considerably quieter than standard polishing machines.
Hardly any dirt is produced while working. It is gentler on the paint, and 90% of the materials are washed and reused again and again. Standard polishing machines are often loud, and foam pads wear out quickly and have to be replaced.
With Nobelclean Diamonding technology, work can be done during maintenance (aircraft), for example, without disturbing the technicians much. The gloss achieved is also different. The Diamonding system with the Nobelorbit creates a much better deep gloss. The gloss is far more intense with the Nobelorbit than with a polishing machine. The Nobelorbit can be used on a yacht or aircraft for 8 hours without any problems; it doesn't get hot.
What is the disadvantage of a standard polishing machine (rotary polisher)?
Standard polishing machines use foam pads and/or lambswool. These standard polishing systems create a lot of dirt and noise. Lambswool or foam pads wear out faster and have to be cleaned and/or replaced much sooner. If they aren't replaced in time, the results quickly get worse.
The heads of polishing machines get very hot in continuous use, and continuous work (aircraft/yacht) is not possible. It is very difficult to achieve a perfect finish free of streaks and holograms. Training for a perfect gloss is difficult: knowing which pad to use with which polish in the right order takes experience.
And with the Nobelorbit?
When working with the Diamonding polishing system, the dirt stays in the cotton or microfiber pad and can be washed out in the washing machine. Our cotton and microfiber pads can't tear at edges (like foam polishing pads, for example), and they don't shed like a lambswool polishing pad.
It is very quick to learn; complete beginners can achieve a top gloss on a vehicle, aircraft or boat very quickly.
The Nobelorbit is extremely environmentally friendly because it is robust and durable.
It is quiet and can be used right by the water or during maintenance (aircraft).
Another big advantage of the Diamonding system is the diameter of the contact surface on the paint. This leads to fewer paint defects such as holograms or streaks.
Training on the Nobelorbit is simple and quick.
Wear on the Nobelorbit is very low.
Material consumption (paint cleaners) is extremely economical.
Example: detailing a Bombardier Challenger 604 aircraft costs about 7,900 euros at Nobelclean, including brightwork (metal polishing). The pure material cost is about 300 euros.
A 30-meter yacht costs about 30,000 euros; here the material cost is about 1,000 euros (all Nobelclean's own products at purchase prices).

2.1 Site requirements (e.g. light, hall, power)
The Nobelclean Diamonding system can be used anywhere and on site; it needs at least 220 volt power (Europe).
2.2 Weather and temperature
At least 5 degrees Celsius outside temperature, it should be dry; daylight or halogen/LED light or sunlight.
2.3 Scaffolding and equipment
If necessary, stairs or scaffolding, a pontoon, cherry pickers or scissor lifts, so that work can also be done on higher areas of yachts or aircraft.
2.4 Safety
The Nobelclean Diamonding system is not subject to any special safety conditions; the machines comply with the standard.
2.5 Machines
Nobelcleaners use two types of machines: the Nobelorbit and the Nobelpolish. The Nobelorbit works eccentrically and weighs about 5.5 kilograms; the Nobelpolish works rotationally and weighs about 2.5 kilograms. Nobelbonnets are fitted to both machines. Both run on 220 volts, and later also as cordless machines.

4. Workflow
Every paint is different: there are differences in paint manufacturer, color, age, condition and the location of the object.
To achieve the best possible result, it is advisable to do a test job. Here the Nobelclean expert can test in which order the Nobelclean products work successfully. After that, the optimal workflow is written down for all Nobelcleaners. These steps are checked and optimized again and again along the way, so that in the end the work is always done 100%. Even our Nobelcleaners sometimes miss something on such large paint surfaces. That is why there is a Nobelclean supervisor who keeps checking everything and, if necessary, gives instructions to rework the same spot again!
4.1 Safety instructions
These are agreed on site with the customer's safety experts; otherwise the customer's or shipyard's standards apply.
4.2 Washing/cleaning the surface
Initial cleaning of the surfaces! If the paint is extremely dirty, it can be pre-cleaned with NC 13.
4.3 Paint cleaning
Paint cleaning is “the be-all and end-all” for success and for achieving a gloss level of over 90%. This is where the great strength of the Nobelclean Diamonding system lies (see also point 4).
We have up to 3 paint cleaners to choose from to achieve the best possible result when polishing the paint. We combine our experience and the advantages of the Nobelclean system perfectly! It is always impressive to see how the dull, dirty, hologram-covered paint looks after paint cleaning: almost perfect and close to 100% gloss! This is where the Nobelorbit, Nobel micro or cotton bonnet and our paint cleaner show their full strength against other systems – and save the client a lot of money, because repainting is no longer necessary.
4.4 Sealing
It is the foundation for lasting gloss: it makes aftercare easier and keeps the gloss as long as possible (at least 12 months). Nobelclean now uses ceramic processes. Based on the Nobelclean team's 15 years of experience so far, they are the most durable coatings. A balance is always sought between durability and the ability to remove the coating easily again, for example for new paint or spot repairs. Otherwise the customer could quickly lose a lot of money here!
4.5 Acceptance
This always takes place together with the client!
4.6 Training
The big problem of recent years. Nobelclean tries to find the best approach here with the help of the crew. There are 2 cleaners available for washing: NC 1 and NC 13, environmentally friendly and ideal for gentle care.
NC 13 is a cleaner that is mixed with water and achieves very good cleaning results on dirty surfaces.
NC 1 is a mild high-gloss cleaner that also cleans without water and can therefore be used inside and out on yachts, sports boats, aircraft, cars, caravans, agricultural and construction machinery and two-wheelers. Additional equipment is provided by arrangement, and the crew is trained.
5. Guarantee
As a rule, Nobelclean grants a 12-month guarantee.
5.1 Scope of the guarantee
