From sports boat to megayacht

In 2002 NOBELCLEAN took on its first fiberglass sports yachts, and since 2006 also steel and aluminum yachts with PU paint from 50 m in length. The yachts in its care include Sunseeker, Riva, Princess, Azimut and Ferretti; the largest is 155 m long. According to NOBELCLEAN, its own teams wash and polish megayachts with NC1 – in the shop you get the same product for your boat.

Salt comes off first

On the water, salt is the real enemy. Dried salt crystals act like sandpaper under a cloth. So rinse salt-encrusted areas with fresh water first and dry them with a microfiber cloth. After that you continue waterless: dust, fingerprints and light film come off with NC1 without using more fresh water from the tank.

Which surface with what?

• Fiberglass or painted metal superstructure and hull: spray NC1, lift in one direction, buff with a clean cloth. If the surface is sealed or coated, test on an inconspicuous spot first.
• Windows and hatches: real glass is cleaned with NC1 just like on a car. Many boat windows are acrylic, though – the manufacturer's care instructions apply there, and you never wipe dry over dust.
• Organic stains on deck and topsides are pre-treated with NC13; NC1 then restores the shine.
• Wooden decks, teak and upholstery are not what these products are for; leather and fabric upholstery cannot be cleaned completely with NC1.

At the berth instead of the wash bay

The big advantage on board: you clean wherever the boat is moored. No lifting out, no wash bay, no hose across the dock. Spray a section, lift, buff, and the topsides shine again. Use different cloths for lifting and for buffing, and keep both apart from the cloth that touches fittings or fenders.

For crews and marinas
