Nobelclean.eu operates this shop and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products and services, in order to provide you, the customer, with a personalised shopping experience (the “Services”). Nobelclean.eu is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and disclose personal information when you visit, use or make a purchase or other transaction using the Services or otherwise communicate with us. If there is a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy takes precedence with respect to the collection, processing and disclosure of your personal information.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and agree to the collection, use and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
What personal information do we collect or process?
When we use the term “personal information”, we are referring to information that identifies you or another person or can be directly linked to you. Personal information does not include information that is collected anonymously or that has been anonymised in such a way that you cannot be identified or linked to it. Depending on how you interact with the Services, where you live and as permitted or required by applicable law, we may collect or process the following categories of personal information, including inferences drawn from this personal information:
- Contact details including name, postal address, billing address, shipping address, phone number and e-mail address.
- Financial information including credit card, debit card and financial account numbers, payment card information, financial account information, transaction details, payment method, payment confirmation and other payment details.
- Account information including username, password, security questions, preferences and settings.
- Transaction information including the items you view, put in your cart, add to your wishlist or purchase, return, exchange or cancel, as well as your past transactions.
- Communications with us including the information you provide when communicating with us, for example when you send a customer support request.
- Device information including information about your device, browser or network connection, your IP address and other unique identifiers.
- Usage information including information about your interaction with the Services, including how and when you interact with or browse the Services.
Sources of personal information
We may collect personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you including when you create an account, visit or use the Services, communicate with us or otherwise provide us with your personal information.
- Automatically through the Services including from your device when you use our products or services or visit our website, and through the use of cookies and similar technologies.
- From our service providers including when we engage them to enable certain technologies and when they collect or process your personal information on our behalf.
- From our partners and other third parties
How do we use your personal information?
Depending on how you interact with us or which of the Services you use, we may use personal information for the following purposes:
- Providing, tailoring and improving the Services. We use your personal information to provide you with the Services. This includes performing our contract with you, processing your payments, fulfilling your orders, saving your preferences and the items you are interested in, sending you notifications relating to your account, creating, maintaining and otherwise managing your account, arranging shipping, facilitating returns and exchanges, enabling you to submit reviews, and creating a personalised shopping experience for you, for example by recommending products based on your purchases. This may also include using your personal information to better tailor and improve the Services.
- Refill subscription and recurring payments. If you take out a refill subscription, we use your contact details, your shipping address, your transaction information and the details of the payment method you have provided in order to trigger the follow-up deliveries at the interval you have chosen, to collect the amounts due automatically and to inform you about your subscription, for example about orders, failed payments and changes. The subscription is managed via Shopify’s “Shopify Subscriptions” app. Your full payment details, such as card numbers, are stored by Shopify or the relevant payment service provider, not by us. The legal basis is the performance of the contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We store this data for the duration of the subscription and beyond that only insofar as statutory retention obligations apply.
- Online withdrawal (“Withdraw from contract”). If you withdraw from a contract using our withdrawal function on the page /en/pages/vertrag-widerrufen, we process your name, your e-mail address, the order number, any information you voluntarily provide about the items concerned, the language or market of the shop, and the date and time of receipt of your notice of withdrawal. We use this data to receive your withdrawal, to send you without delay the acknowledgement of receipt by e-mail required by law, to assign the withdrawal to your order and to process it. The legal basis is compliance with our legal obligations under Sections 355 et seq. and Section 356a of the German Civil Code (BGB) (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). The withdrawal function is provided by 401layers UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Dorothea-Erxleben-Str. 1a, 40721 Hilden, Germany, with the app “EU Widerrufs-Button & Formular”, acting as our processor (Art. 28 GDPR). The form is loaded from its servers; in the process, your IP address is also transmitted for technical reasons. 401layers uses servers of Amazon Web Services for operation and for sending e-mails; for transfers outside the EU, see “International transfers”. In the app, withdrawals are deleted automatically after six months. We retain documents relating to withdrawal and refund that belong to an order beyond that only insofar as statutory retention obligations apply (Section 257 of the German Commercial Code (HGB), Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code (AO)), and delete them afterwards.
- Map and videos (Google Maps, YouTube). On our contact page you can display a map from Google Maps, and on some pages videos from YouTube. The provider in each case is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you open our pages, none of this is loaded at first. The map only loads once you allow the “Marketing” category in the cookie banner or in the cookie settings, or click on “Load map”; a video only loads when you play it, and then via youtube-nocookie.com. Only then are your IP address, information about your browser and device and the page you have opened transmitted to Google, and Google may store and read cookies or similar technologies on your device. Data may also be transferred to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (see also “International transfers”). The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG)). You can withdraw the consent you gave in the cookie banner at any time in the cookie settings; a click on “Load map” only applies to the respective page view. For more information, see Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Marketing and advertising. We use your personal information for marketing and promotional purposes, for example to send marketing and advertising communications by e-mail, text message or post and to show you online advertisements for products or services on the Services or other websites, including based on items you have previously purchased or added to your cart and other activities relating to the Services.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your e-mail address to send you care tips, guide articles, news and offers by e-mail. Subscription uses the double opt-in procedure: after signing up, you receive an e-mail in which you confirm your subscription; only then do you receive the newsletter. As proof of your consent, we store the time of your sign-up and of your confirmation. Your e-mail address and your consent are stored with Shopify in our customer list; the confirmation e-mail is sent by Shopify. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in every e-mail or by e-mail to rh@nobelclean.de; this does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out until then. After you unsubscribe, we no longer send you the newsletter. We only keep proof of your previous consent for as long as we need it to defend against claims (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Security and fraud prevention. We use your personal information to authenticate your account, to provide a secure payment and shopping experience, to detect, investigate or take action regarding possible fraudulent, illegal, unsafe or malicious activities, to protect public safety and to secure our Services. If you choose to use the Services and register an account, you are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. We strongly recommend that you do not share your username, password or other access details with anyone else.
- Communicating with you. We use your personal information to provide you with customer support and effective Services, to respond to your enquiries in a timely manner and to maintain our business relationship with you.
- Contact form, professional enquiry and cancellation form. If you write to us using the contact form, the enquiry form for professionals or the “Cancel contracts here” form (German: “Verträge hier kündigen”), we process the information you provide there: in the contact form, your name, your e-mail address, your message and, if you provide them, your phone number and your topic; in the professional enquiry, company, contact person, e-mail address and your message and, if you provide them, phone number, industry and requirements; in the cancellation form, your name, your e-mail address, the order or subscription number, the type and the requested date of the cancellation and, for an extraordinary cancellation, the reason. We use this data to answer your enquiry or to process and confirm your cancellation. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR insofar as your enquiry concerns a contract with us or its initiation, and for a cancellation also compliance with our legal obligation under Section 312k of the German Civil Code (BGB) (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR); in all other cases, our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The forms are processed via Shopify: Shopify forwards the information you provide to our mailbox by e-mail. The recipients are therefore Shopify as our service provider (see “Relationship with Shopify”) and our e-mail provider. To protect against spam, Shopify uses the hCaptcha service of Intuition Machines, Inc. (USA) for these forms; in the process, technical information such as your IP address and information about your browser and device is transmitted to hCaptcha (for transfers outside the EU, see “International transfers”). The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in protecting our shop against misuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete your enquiry once it has been dealt with completely; we retain enquiries that belong to a contract, and cancellations, beyond that only insofar as statutory retention obligations apply (Section 257 of the German Commercial Code (HGB), Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code (AO)) or we need them as proof, and delete them afterwards.
- Legal reasons. We use your personal information to comply with applicable law or respond to valid legal process, including requests from law enforcement or supervisory authorities, to investigate or participate in civil investigations, potential or actual litigation or other adversarial legal proceedings, and to investigate potential violations of our terms or policies or to enforce our terms and policies.
How do we disclose personal information?
In certain circumstances, we may disclose your personal information to third parties for legitimate purposes in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Such circumstances may include:
- With Shopify, vendors and other third parties who perform services on our behalf (e.g. IT management, payment processing, data analytics, customer support, cloud storage, fulfilment and shipping).
- We disclose personal information to business and marketing partners who provide marketing services to you and show you advertising. For example, we use Shopify to support personalised advertising with third-party services based on your online activities across different merchants and websites. Our business and marketing partners use your information in accordance with their own privacy notices. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to instruct us not to disclose information about you for the purpose of showing you targeted advertising and marketing based on your online activities across different merchants and websites. If you wish to exercise this right and object to such uses, please send us an e-mail at rh@nobelclean.de.
- When you ask us or otherwise consent to us disclosing certain information to third parties, for example to deliver products to you, or when you use social media widgets or login integrations.
- We disclose personal information to our affiliates or otherwise within our group of companies.
- In connection with a business transaction such as a merger or insolvency, to comply with applicable legal obligations (including responding to subpoenas, search warrants and similar requests), to enforce applicable terms of service or policies, and to protect or defend the Services, our rights and the rights of our users or others.
Relationship with Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve the Services for you. Information you submit to the Services is transmitted to Shopify and to third parties that may be located in countries other than the country where you live, in order to provide and improve the Services for you. In addition, to protect, grow and improve our business, we use certain enhanced Shopify features that incorporate data and information obtained from your interactions with our shop, with other merchants and with Shopify. To provide these enhanced features, Shopify may use personal information collected about your interactions with our shop, other merchants and Shopify. In these circumstances, Shopify is responsible for the processing of your personal information, including for responding to your requests to exercise your rights regarding the use of your personal information for these purposes. For more information on how Shopify uses your personal information and what rights you have, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. Depending on where you live, you can exercise certain rights with respect to your personal information via the Shopify Privacy Portal.
Third-party websites and links
The Services may provide links to websites or other online platforms operated by third parties. If you follow links to websites that are not affiliated with or controlled by us, you should review their privacy and security policies and other terms and conditions. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the privacy or security of such websites, including the accuracy, completeness or reliability of information found on these websites. Information you provide in public or semi-public places, including information you share on third-party social networking platforms, may also be viewable by other users of the Services and/or users of those third-party platforms, without limitation as to its use by us or by a third party. Our inclusion of such links does not imply that we endorse the content of these platforms or their owners or operators, unless expressly stated in the Services.
Children’s data
The Services are not intended to be used by children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children who have not reached the age of majority in your country. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has provided us with their personal information, you may contact us using the contact details below to request that this information be deleted. As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, we have no knowledge that we “share” or “sell” (as those terms are defined in applicable law) personal information of persons under 16 years of age.
Security and retention of your information
Please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and we therefore cannot guarantee “perfect security”. In addition, information you send to us may be exposed to risks while in transit. We recommend that you do not use unsecure channels to send sensitive or confidential information to us.
How long we retain your personal information depends on various factors. These include, for example, whether we need the information to manage your account, to provide you with the Services, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes or to enforce other applicable contracts and policies.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights listed below in relation to your personal information. However, these rights are not absolute, may apply only in certain circumstances and, in certain cases, we may decline your request to the extent permitted by law.
- Right of access. You may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to erasure. You may have the right to request that we delete the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to rectification. You may have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Right to data portability. You may have the right to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you and to request that we transfer it to a third party, in certain circumstances and with certain exceptions.
- Managing communication preferences. We may send you promotional e-mails. You can opt out of receiving these e-mails at any time by using the unsubscribe option included in our e-mails to you. If you opt out, we may still send you non-promotional e-mails, for example about your account or about orders you have placed.
If you live in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you may, subject to the exceptions and limitations provided by local law, exercise the following rights in addition to those listed above:
- Right to object and right to restriction of processing. You may have the right to ask us to stop or restrict the processing of personal information for certain purposes.
- Withdrawal of consent. Where we rely on your consent to process your personal information, you have the right to withdraw this consent. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on your consent before its withdrawal.
You can exercise these rights where this is indicated in the Services, or by contacting us using the contact details below. For more information on how Shopify uses your personal information and what rights you have, including rights relating to data processed by Shopify, see https://privacy.shopify.com/en.
You will not suffer any disadvantage for exercising these rights. Where permitted or required by applicable law, we may need to verify your identity before we can process your requests. In accordance with applicable laws, you may designate an authorised agent to make requests on your behalf to exercise your rights. Before accepting such a request from an agent, we will require proof from the agent that you have authorised them to act on your behalf, and you may need to confirm your identity directly with us. We will respond to your request promptly within the framework of applicable law.
Complaints
If you have complaints about how we process your personal information, please contact us using the contact details below. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to appeal our decision by contacting us using the contact details below, or to lodge your complaint with the competent data protection authority. International transfers
Please note that we may transfer, store and process your personal information outside the country in which you live.
If we transfer your personal information outside the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent contracts issued by the relevant competent authority of the United Kingdom, unless the data transfer is to a country that has been shown to provide an adequate level of protection.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. We will publish the revised Privacy Policy on this website, update the “Last updated” date accordingly and provide any notice required by applicable law.
